This is a section I decided to create so I could keep track of my training and race schedule for the 2005 and beyond bike season. I will try and upload data everyday that I train and/or race. Feel free to send comments to me by clicking here.
3.6.2005 - Went up to Dahlonega and did 3 GAP today with Andy, John, and Eric from the team. Felt really good doing it so early in the season. Never cramped and my breathing was good. Just wish I had more strength and weighed a little less.
3.5.2005 - Rode the 42K Brooks Road Race course with the entire team. It is a flat course with a few small climbs. We should do very well on this course.
3.4.2005 - Took a quick spin with Darryl. Nothing to exciting.
3.3.2005 - Rode the 25 mile loop with neal and boy was it fast:) We seem to ride well together.
3.1.2005 - Pain in my right foot. Almost seems like the same injury as the left foot from a few weeks ago. Will rest until Thursday and I am backing out of race this weekend and concentrating on Brooks.
2.26.2005 - 50 Mile meehan ride with some of the CAT 5 team. We got a good paceline in for a few miles. We should be fine on flat courses.
2.25.2005 - 35 mile loop with Cat 5 team around Duluth. Good to see where we stand.
2.24.2005 - 25 mile loop around the house. Nothing too fantastic.
2.22.2005 - Rode my 25 mile loop around the house. The best I have felt on my bike since last season. I think things are starting to come back around for me. The stregnth is gradually coming back thank god. Going to try and ride tomorrow as well.
02.19.2005 - Rode the 50 mile ride from Meehan's in Vinnings today. Most of the team showed up and boy was it fast. I kept up with the CAT 3/4 front group for about 25 miles. Then hesitated in the back of the paceline and they took off like a freight train. Made myself sick trying to catch up and was stuck in no mans land until I got picked up by the next group. It was a cold day to ride.
02.18.2005 - Went and rode 25 miles yesterday. It was probably the hardest 25 miles I have done in a long time. The wind was 15+ MPH and it was COLD! Plus something kept rattling in the front end of my bike that was distracting me. Shawn at cycleworks figured out that it was my valve stem:) Will be riding with the team tomorrow. I guess this will show me how my fitness level is so far..
02.16.2005 - Finally got out and rode with Neal from the team. I am not ready for next weekend so I am backing out and waiting till the last of the 3 Greenville series of races. It is amazing how fast you loose your strength.
02.15.2005 - Another boring hour on the trainer tonight. Thank god for the iPod.
02.14.2005 - Stayed on the trainer for about an hour today. Seems like it is helping. Can keep it in a harder gear longer.
02.13.2005 - Today I was finally able to walk without a limp and decided to get on the trainer. Foot is still in a little discomfort but stayed on the bike for a little over an hour. Will try and ride on the trainer again tomorrow and then take the bike out for about 35-50 on Tuesday. I am going to try and ride at least 150 miles this week.
02.10.2005 - My left foot is in a lot of pain today. Feels like I tore a muscle in it or something strange like that. I will stay off the bike today and tomorrow to prepare for Saturday's ride with the team. Hopefully it will feel better by then. I am really looking forward to see if I can keep up with the team riders.
 02.09.2005 - Rode an hour on the trainer. Felt good to be back in the saddle for the first time this week.
